As crucial support components, Moya and Keta must tolerate high stress and loads. Douglas Fir and Hemlock's proven ability to withstand these forces make it an excellent choice for roof or floor support applications. As key supporting members in traditional roof construction, the Moya and Keta standards have been developed to ensure performance and strength.

Minimum Standards:
  • In non-seasoned shipments a minimum of 85% of the pieces must be free of heart centers to enhance lineal stability.
  • Decadent characteristics such as unsound wood and honeycomb are not allowed in any of the Quality Assurance Standards. This is particularly important in Moya applications where the product may be exposed to a wide range of ambient atmospheric conditions.
  • To ensure true installations, bow is limited to a maximum of .2%, and no twist is allowed at all.
