CedarPrime bevel siding is prime cedar re-engineered by Interfor's industry leading technology to offer you real wood and real value.
Re-assembled to Bring Out the Best
All knots and defects are cut out, leaving only premium quality, fine grained wood fiber. These solid wood segments are then reassembled through a high-tech process to create virtually invisible, precision fitted "finger" joints that are actually stronger and more weather resistant than the surrounding wood.
Preparing for an All Weather Coat
Even a unique and remarkable wood like cedar needs to be properly sealed to protect its inherent beauty and all season durability. In the state of the art factory where CedarPrime is coated, the boards are carefully checked to ensure cleanliness and proper moisture content. This extra care and attention results in a strong, long-lasting bond between the wood and the protective alkyd oil primer.
Primed to Perfection
Under controlled conditions, the optimum thickness of primer is applied to all six sides of the board. This is rarely achieved when boards are painted on the job site. Pressure rollers and high speed brushes drive the coating deep into the wood fibers. Afterwards, the boards are heat dried to ensure complete curing of the prime coat. Interfor's CedarPrime technology is your assurance of long lasting performance. It could be the last siding your home will ever need.
CedarPrime Cuts Installation Time and Costs
Factory primed CedarPrime saves a time consuming and costly coating step on the jobsite. It's no longer necessary to wait for a break in the weather to prime the raw boards. CedarPrime is available in consistent 16 foot lengths for maximum efficiency.
Easy of Maintenance
CedarPrime cuts your siding maintenance to a minimum. CedarPrime's alkyd oil primer is compatible with acrylic or latex based top coats (many of which come with warranties).
The Choice is Yours
CedarPrime is available in three grades - Clear Vertical Grain (smooth face); Clear Mixed Grain (smooth face); Tex (resawn rough face). Since the installed cost of CedarPrime competes side by side with the look-alikes, why not choose the real thing?
