Interfor’s employees believe in supporting the communities in which they live and work.  In October-November 2013, the 121 employees at the Port Angeles mill had a friendly food drive competition that led to a donation of 1,100 food items to the Port Angeles Food Bank.

“The mill is an important part of Port Angeles, and this competition was a great way to engage our employees and support our community at the same time,” Production Manager Bill Slagle said today. “I’m proud of everyone for their fantastic efforts.”

“We really appreciate this generous donation from our friends at the Interfor Mill,” said Julie Woodin-Stockert, Operations Manager of the Port Angeles Food Bank. “It helps us meet the needs of local families, and shows people facing tough times how much their community cares about them.”

The competition is to become an annual event.
